History
Energinet.dk and Nord Pool Spot established Nord Pool Gas in late 2007 with the aim of creating a transparent and competitive market place.
Since the very first trade on March 4th 2008 the business has been through a strong growth journey.
Volumes traded currently amount to approximately 10 % of the Danish gas consumption.
Our products and services have continuously developed in line with the needs of our customers.
In April 2011 the clearing division was transferred to Nord Pool Spot to allow for an even stronger focus on core business activities and development.
