All trades conducted at Nord Pool Gas are settled and cleared via our clearing house Nord Pool Spot.
Participants posts collateral in order for the clearing house to guarantee all payments.

Settlement
Nord Pool Gas uses Nord Pool Spot as the clearing house for all trades at Nord Pool Gas. Nord Pool Spot handles all aspects relating to the settlement of trades, collection of volume fees and monitoring of collaterals.
On settlement days, statements are sent to buyers and sellers containing invoices and credit notes. The contents of the statements depend on the contract traded. Statements are only sent on Norwegian banking days according to the settlement schedule.
